The Tiburon Film Festival (March 18 - 26, 2010) offers the best of Independent Films from around the World and brings them to the communities of Tiburon, Belvedere, and the Greater Bay Area.

The Tiburon Film Festival is commited to true spirit of Independent Film and and Independent Film Making which has always been at the core of what fuels this Festival. The trancendence of life into art, that brings the world into our communityy for 9 days. This year the Tiburon Film Festival will shine a spotlight on Turkish Cinema, the Enviroment, and Current Events. There will also be some amazing Surfing films featured this year. *The Real Estate Crisis has hit our Country pretty hard, and has even affected people here in Marin. Earlier this evening I heard someone complaining that their home was "under water."  And I said, "So what, that's true for a lot of people." And he says, "Yeah, but I live on a house boat!"

As you know the huge bailouts of the Banks, the Insurance Companies, and their CEO's seems to have affected everything. Earlier this year the Tiburon Film Festival hired an intern that proceeded to lose 90 % of this year's films, and had no idea what happened to them. When asked what he had to say for himself, he said, "where's my bonus?"

And, did you see Sarah Palin on the Today Show the other day? When Merideth Viera asked her if she thought Marilyn Monroe had slept with JFK? And, Sarah replied, "Really? the whole Airport?  Just a joke, we love Sarah!
